Hi,

the coolant sensor light came on a couple of weeks ago. I topped up the coolant and then it went away. However, the coolant light came back, and is constantly on.

I did check the coolant level, and its fine. Could it be the coolant sensor and the O-ring that goes with it ? The leak might be caused by an old O-ring and the sensor could also be faulty.

If you checked the level and its fine then its not leaking is it?That would mean just the sensor is faulty

I hear what you say....but I did have to top the coolant the first time I saw the coolant light on.

So there must have been a leak somewhere ?

Maybe not a leak but perhaps an airlock or something thats cleared thus taking more coolant

same level sensor on the washer bottle you can swap them over if you can be bothered to drain the expansion bottle..

My coolant light comes on sometimes aswel even when coolant is full I just usually unplug it and plug it back in and it is fine
