Hi, have a problem with the car battery draining. The rear boot handle seems to be the culprit so I think. The dash sensor light is on. tried replacing bulbs and they have blown and the number plate light are not working. Any ideas? replaced battery already have a brand spanking new one but it too ha drained.

ANY HELP APPRECIATED

Hi. Check the wiring loom that goes from boot through the bulkhead for any broken wires. Jim

By "dash sensor light", do you mean the thing shaped like a car that shows doors open or dud lights? Is it on without showing any open doors? The boot light might not be going off when you shut it. Flop down a rear seat back so you can see inside the boot from the car. Shut the boot, and see if the light goes off. If not, it could be the tilt switch. That light is enough to fatten the battery overnight. OR, hows your heater fan behaving? If it is erratic, or sometimes on when you dont expect it, it can be the final stage resistor, called "hedgehog". Do a search for this, its a common problem.

had exactly the same problem mate, turned it it was the hedgehog resistor as the other user says, check your blowers are going off when the cars off and manually as well, they can be quiet but still running when switched off, listen carefully, pretty easy fix as long as you have the correct length 20 torx screwdriver
