Hi there I've recently had my engine changed and was working fine but not now a week later my indicators or hazards will not come on on dash but work on the outside also the car light doesn't work when an open door etc is there a way to reset this at all ? Please help oh ps when engine running this is cheers Andy

I dont think anything needs to be reset as such it could be a number of things i would start buy checking your fuses and connections to the light units to see if they have disrupted anything the alternative is to take it to wherever you had the work carried out and explain the situation to them as it must be something they have done your fuses are in the top side of your glove box

Following on from your telephone call.

I think this fault is caused by the K-bus, a single wire which connects instrumentation and gadgets in the car (not engine or ABS). This has gone faulty. I have posted a good primer on BMW bus systems here:

I have this exact problem. No indicator warning in the car, no warning panel

all fixed thank you too colin your a top guy cheers !!! all i done though was take out the sppedo detatch wires clips ! and put it back in must off had a bit of luck !!!

Well I disconnected my battery for a day while at work and hey presto ...all working

Could be your battery on its way out also:thumbsup
