Evening all

Whilst taking apart my M62TU to replace the timing chain guides I have come across a couple of issues :

1. There appears to be a bolt holding the torque converter to the flywheel in the way of the flywheel locking pin hole when the crank pulley has "OT" at 12 o'clock position.

2. There is engine oil inside the bellhousing. Could there be any other probable explanation for this other than a fubarred crankshaft seal?

If it is the crankshaft seal it is easier to remove the gearbox from the engine than vice versa?

Thanks
