I only can alarm my car 12 hours after i have locked it, by turning the key in the door. If i try to ARM her by pressing the fob 2 mins or 2 hours later she starts going off.....

the cause may have been when the battery was disconnected during a service!!!

will a OBD scan tell me anything....

A diagnostic scan should assist you in finding any stored codes on the ECU but I think I would start by checking the wiring that passes from the vehicle body into the tailgate as the wires in the plastic sheath can often become damaged. The protective coating on the wires breaks and causes all sorts of electrical problems when the exposed wires touch each other:frown
