Hi guys, how can I tell whether a V8 E39 has single or twin vanos? The manifolds look the same to me from what I've seen - it was easy to tell on the E36 / E46.

I've seen differing accounts for the 535i, some say all cars '98 on, whereas others say from September '98 onwards.

Is there a definite cut-off point? :confused
