As you know, have been having a few issues with the old coolant loss. So have had new everything and was hoping the recent drop in level was due to the system settling down.

But on the way to work, I stopped at some lights, and notice the smallest amount of steam wafting out from by the wipers. Stopped at the next layby, same again as I pulled in, but nothing to see when I opened the bonnet!

Same on the way home, again nothing to see by the time I opened the bonnet :confused

So, called "a chap I know" who owns a garage and he seems to think that there is a union of pipes at the back of the engine and could possibly be that-

My question is-Is there a few pipes at the back of the engine?

Thanks chaps. Its such a bloody pest-we (the specialist and me) just cant see where its coming from. He said he used the camers to look down the back of the engine, not sure if I believe him though. He also said he presure tested the cooling system and there was no drop off in pressure-but if its such a small leak, I guess there wouldnt be.

Car is still losing water, but after seeing a bit of steam over the last day or so, I have been inspecting closely.

Just got to work and opened the bonnet and had a good look around.

Standing at the front of the engine, if I looked right down at the bottom of the left hand side I could see water dripping (slowly) on the gearbox housing(??). Its a bell shaped big bit of metal, with a hole in it where I assume the clutch is.....

Can anyone tell me whats down there? I have looked at Real Oem but its not too clear.

Cheers
