[E36er]

Hi

I have been getting this metallic banging sound anytime i go over a bump or hole in the road. It seems to be coming from the rear left wheel area and i think it might just be the springs that need replacing. My e36 has the full mtec body kit, with mtec suspension.

If anyone has any information on where i can get genuine mtec springs, new or used, for a good price without going through main dealers, that would be of great help!

I had something similar in a standard 318 (e36) it turned out to be a snapped spring, it had snapped in the middle and the sound was the two bits hitting together when it hit bumps and pot holes.

If you can reach the spring try running your fingers round the the coil and see it it is continuous.
