hi been looking for bits and bobs for my car and came across a new ignition leads made by splitfire its also said its a must have increases performance and mpg, just want some advice if its worth buying with any noticeable results, ps im trying to squizz every horse out of the 1.6 :hihi

Think of the 1.6 engine as an abandoned stud farm. you only get so many horses, and it doesnt matter how much you shake your bucket or how many bales of hay you leave out, no more horses are a' coming!

Better HT leads will give a better spark but I doubt you'll notice much of a difference, better for higher performance where you need a good spark to get the most out of a remap. Good servicing with the properly specified parts will get good mpg and servicing. Performance and mpg are a bit like chalk and cheese really in an old engine.

Yeah they won't really give you any gains over a new set of normal leads.
