folks.

I have had to replace the Abs sensor for mot. code read indicated front left. i have replaced the sensor but the light stays on. can anyone advise me if the fault needs reset by computer or should it Clear on a decent drive? I have had it out but less than a mile.

need a result for this asap as car due in tomorrow for retest ha.

The system carries out a pre-flight style check, then carries on with continuous monitoring.

The first part it electrical checking to make sure everything is plugged in as normal, and the light should then go out.
Once moving, it will monitor the wheel signals to make sure everything matches, for example if a sensor was fitted that couldn't pick up the teeth moving near to it, and would report a non moving wheel.

In your case, there seems to be another current fault which is why the system isn't resetting itself.
