Hi, Ive a 1996 320i wiuth the BMW 3T alarm with the single button key fob. The car starts and drives fine and has done for the past 2 years. I was given the genuine remote for the alarm however the button was missing but you could still press the white button. My question is, although it was a sealed case, Ive managed to prise it open to see if I can use it. There are 2 batteries which can be replaced. Ive read on a forum before that these remotes were not deigned to have batteries changed.

If I change these batteries, and attempt to use it..........will I end up activating the alarm/immobiliser and then possible fudge it all up?
