Hi guys. Noticed lights on alarm not working plus no tail lights O/S. Bulbs ok. Near side tail lights ok. All working fine until this morning? Any ideas? Do I have 2 individual faults or are they linked? I’m mechanically/electronically challenged so all help much appreciated.

Thanks.

What do you mean lights on alarm? The red flashing dot next to the ASC button? and are your number plate lights working? Check the corresponding fuses to make sure none has blown.

are your number plate lights working?
Hi Dez. Well, they're not now? Don't know how long they might have been out for? Bulbs are ok. Went out in car this morning and all ok apart from the lights issue. Packed in car park and.....Electric windows (front only. None in back) packed up. Drivers window was half down, or half up depending how you look at it. Went home as I couldn't leave the car with the window open. So...Got home and pow! Central locking stopped working.

Checked fuse box and found 10amp fuse (No 37) was blown. Replaced it and it blew? Checked wiring in boot (been told this area can be a problem) all seems ok, no shorts or bare wires. Run out of fuses so I went in for a coffee and when came back..... Central locking worked? Well: almost as can’t lock front passenger door from drivers door. Can lock/open all doors from front passenger door but front passenger door will not lock/unlock from drivers door.
Sat there thinking about taking panel off driver door so I can close window when I gave the switch a push and up it went! Tried to open it but it sort of rocked and seemed real hesitant (both sides.) so I left it closed. All other fuses look ok. Only thing I did notice was front off side parking light was blown and bulb was real black so I removed it and that is on fuse 37! Looks like a trip to the Auto- electrician in the morning as I'm at a loss to know where to look or what to look for.

So. Recap.
No O/S tail light. Bulbs ok.
No O/S parking light. Buying new bulb tomorrow.
No Number plate lights. Bulbs ok.
Cannot lock/unlock passenger door from drivers door via central locking. But can lock/unlock all doors from passenger door.
Electric windows (have front only) iffy. They move but seem real sluggish.
Fuse 37 10amp blown. Replacement blown. Will disconnect number plate lights, parking lights and replace fuse and see what happens.

I took cover off under dash (passenger side) looking for loose relays as per Haynes manual and well, the cover went back on quicker that it came off! What a nightmare!

Thanks for you help.

Sam.

PS. Lights reminder is buzzer that sounds when main lights are on and ignition turned off or key removed
