OK this is bit weird but someone might be able to help.

Well every so often on the 730i if you stop and pop out car for 5 min then go back to it and try and start car it won't start. You then have to lock the car for 15 min and then re open and try and start again.

Anyone had this problem at all?

Also my other problem is if you have the car running and you open the boot you can't shut it. When ever you push it closed it just re open itself, tho it will shut fine with the car off.

Any help is appreciated

With regards to the starting issue it could be a suspect crank or camshaft sensor on it's way out? Had a similar fault in the past that eventaually immobilised the car completely:yikes

I would recommend a diagnostic scan at an Independent BMW Specialist as this will help pin point the cause:thumbsup

With the second issue you explain I would first recommend that you check the wiring that goes from the vehicle to the boot lid. The wires break inside the rubber sheath and cause all kinds of issues within the electrical system:thumbsup

Please keep us posted:cool
