Hi as the title says. Does anyone think the e36 m3 will be a true classic?

That was because no one wanted them mate.... They only made them to meet the marrket...:rofl

ALL M cars will be worth a premium one day as they were a premium performance car.... Just not as rare as some.

Having said that, look at the current prices for the Audi UR Quattro - they were once plentiful but as they get older the prices are rocketing. They are a nice car alright (I once owned one), but the M3 is better

this thread should be made a sticky the amount of times it crops up.

the m3 cab has to become a classic because if it doesnt im gonna lose my bet with the mrs that one day ill get the money back that ive spent on my m3.

Ask the Ford Granada, Capri, Escort, Cortina owners... The amout of times people said to me, the mk2 Granada would never be classed as a classic of of any value. Or even a Cavalier Turbo, try getting a good one for less than £4k.. Its the commen cars that become classic and collectable. The e36's are getting scrapped everywhere, and one day people will be looking at one saying I had one of them once...

Oh I think the e36 M3 will end up being a classic as it proved itself on and off the track.
There may be currently a lot of them on the road, but so was the original VW bug :hihi
No doubt the e36 M3 (especially the fully loaded ones) will stand the test of time and one day be another true classic! :thumbsup

Thanks for all your posts, I think I will keep hold of mine for a few more years, every year I have this debate with my girlfriend as it sits in the garage 99% of the year, one or two sunny days and gaydon, (who would sell or swap asap for a bathroom), but now the garage I get it mot'd at keeps asking to buy it, I think if it went I'd have a nice bathroom but no M car of any sort, Can't let that happen....
