Hi All.

Is it possible to disconnect or disable the 3T alarm/immobiliser system on my 328i E36 Coupe without disrupting the EWS II system. I don't see the point in spending alot of £ at the main dealer to repair the 3T as I have seen it causes alot of problems as it ages. I wish to install an independent alarm/immobiliser myself.

Can anyone advise please::banghead

simple answer. yes.

3t alarm is no way connected to the cars immobiliser system, thats in your key :thumbsup

Just unplug it and you'll have no problems.

Im having the same issues, did you have any joy removing the alarm immobiliser?
id rather be without it too.

Sham M3, Beg to differ re the immobiliser. Here is a quote from the 3T Instruction Manual - "Congratulations! You now own a BMW Alarm / Immobiliser"
