ok i put the heater on and hardly got any blow from it, on all settings,even on cold?at the feet hardly nothing, same at the screen, and at the face? not sure if im doing anything wrong or not. what could cause this?:confused

Resistor pack is duff.
Search my project thread as my car has the same analogue climate as yours and you'll see pics.

while i look for your thread, in short is it hard job to fix? and expensive? how can i test to see if it is definatley that? cheers again bud.

i have a pollen filter??? i dont on my 1996 318is...well i dont think so, no i dont...wouldnt no where to find it and check? help us out here.;)

So thats a yes, you have air-con...

Which means you have a pollen filter.... Go have a look at the links in my last post, they explain what to do :thumbsup

You can replace it, but I just removed mine.

so whats the draw backs of just removing the filter and not replacing it??

Then the coils will get blocked up with crap-Its easier to replace a filter than it is to clean out the matrix.Still the choice is yours
well for £16 for a microfilter, its getting changed..;)
