Someone told me the other day that if i remove fuses 10,21,38
it disables the ASC and makes the car a little more tailend happy.
Now I came from a 2.0 MR2 GTi and that was very tail happy.
just seems i cant have as much fun in the beamer :(
Has anyone tried it and how much difference did it make?

It will disable the ASC and the ABS at the same time so not a good idea, especially as it will fail a MOT on it.

If you want to disable the ASC then why not press the button?

Or if you want it completely gone then remove the ASC throttle body and unplug the ASC throttle position sensor plug then fit a NON ASC Intake boot or get the e36 Samco Silicone pipe in it's place.

It will illuminate the ASC light on your dash permanently but as long as you unplug the yellow circled plug only then the ABS will still work.

If you unplug the red circled plug that goes to the actuator then this will disable the ABS.

If you want to remove the actuator from under the bonnet and still have ABS then you will need a 10ohm 1 watt resistor, then unplug the actuator plug and connect the resistor to the 2 wires.

Hmm, think i'll leave it then lol.

As for pressing the button...... I dont have one. If it disables the ABS aswell then i dont fancy that idea.

Thanks for the response though, very informative :thumbsup
