hi,

i was wondering is it possible to take out the manual temp control panel out of a e36 and replace with a climate control dials?

is this possible?

not sure as on the climate control for the e36 there air con etc?

maybe it would work but just no air con?

Anything is possible but this is a nightmare apparently. You have to change over nearly all the pipes as the have sensors and actuators in them to electronicaly control the heat and the vents. Its really not worth the hassle.

Do you mean swap the analoguedials with the digital buttons???
If so I know it's way too much work for it to be worth it but if that's not what you mean then dunno!

You're not a member of the other BMW forum are you? Because someone was asking this the other day.
To get the digi controls in will involve replacing the entire heater box which means taking the dash out. To go through all that and not go the extra mile to retrofit air-con seems like a wasted opportunity to me.
