Hi everyone!

Have finally installed a 65k mile M50B20 vanos in my M40 powered 316i:thumbsup.

The difference is very decent....especially the smoothness and the top end pull of the 6 cyl. Above all, it sounds wonderful!

The donor car was a 1994 Japan spec auto 320i coupe. All wiring connectors are connected except for the extra X20 type one which is for the auto tranny, and three more connectors that are dangling.

Now, the three connectors are:

1. A brown round female connector for 4 round pins (O2 sensor maybe?)

2. A black rectangular female connector for 3 flat pins (?)

3. A black round female connector for 10 round pins (?)

Need to know what these connectors are for.....since, i have not connected the O2 sensor as yet and have no reverse lights.

Surprisingly, even without the O2 sensor connected, the idle is very smooth and the engine revs very cleanly to the limiter. Although, the fueling is definitely on the richer side.

TIA
