Hi, just bought a cat-back system for my 318is coupe, just went to fit it and its about 6 inches too short. could this be for a compact instead?

Where did you buy the exhaust from?

Do all the hanging points line up in the correct positions?

off ebay mate, it was my mistake.
yeah all the hanging points line up. i can fit it to the car but it is about 9 inches to short of mating up with the front section of the exhaust

I would just go to the likes of Powerflow and get them to lengthen the system for you:thumbsup

yeah i've got a friend who can cut and weld the system to make it longer so no much of a big deal
