:eek just fitted a twin DTM scorpion stainless rear exhaust to my 325i coupe and noticed that the diff cradle mounts on the drivers side are proper rusty/holed, now i know why the back end wants to overtake me all the time! does anyone else ever had this problem? if so, how has it been rectified? ps, the exhaust sounds nice n loud though:lol

Rear axle mounting bushes on mine seemed f*cked so I just got some replacements from Eurocarparts about £45 ish for 4 bushes and got them fitted. The ones we took off looked much worse than they were.

well.... er, just a little, im getting used to rear wheel drive again!!! is there any mods to sort this out?

hi DSK, its actually the problem is where it bolts to the body/rails, its these that are rotting away.

The whole panel will need strengthening involving some good welding and fabrication :hihi

Is it the subframe that is holed or is it the chassis floor where the two bolt together?

hi, its the chassis rails where the mounts hang down, you bolt the diff frame to it

looks like i'm going to have to get some thick steel and some very good measurements then, and a sense of humour!

They can be repaired, it's a common ragged e36 and common e46 weakness, hence the e46 link I supplied :cool

bit of under body seal and sell it on mate not really! any good welder will sort that out im sure so dont panic
