Ive been having problems with my e30 316i recently and was wondering if anyone could help. The car will randomly cut out when driving, this will happen most journeys, when its cold it struggles to keep the revs at idle and sounds like its going to stall and my fuel economy is dreadful.
I took it for a dianogstics the other day but the computer showed no problems.
Any help would be appreciated!

Check all the rubber hoses and pipes for splits or cracks. Any air leaks can cause running problems like this..:thumbsup

When it cuts out is it when approaching a junction with the clutch down? If so then it does sound like the engine has a air leak after the Airflow meter.

Yea it will cut out at junctions and in car parks but its also cut out while just driving normally.
Also do injectors need to be replaced atall as ive been getting conflicting reports from different people?!

Injector replacement won't be necessary.

If it cuts out while you are driving with the clutch up then that is a bit more serious than a air leak I'd say, but you should still check all the pipes out first.
