Hi guys my names jack, I'm new so just gonna jump straight in,
Buying a 120d coupe 10 plate, it's got 190k on the clock I know major mileage but getting very cheap and it's solid but it's been serviced every 6 months and had the timing chain and clutch done 40k miles ago so one problem out the way. Thing is I want to give it a new lease of life and wind up between 300-400bhp, is it worth buying a new lump and starting fresh or work with what I've got? The engine is solid but was thinking about getting the 123d twin turbo and putting that on? Skim the head and bore for oversized pistons, then obviously new injectors all new gaskets I'm guessing big intercooler straight through exhaust and anything else I can think of? Am I right in thinking I'm playing safe with either options? New lump or work with what I've got? Any advice is highly appreciate thank you!

You would be much better off buying a E90 330d and remap it

This would save you a lot of time and money
