Hi I am after some information I recently changed an injector seal (Copper washer) and noticed a rubber 'O' ring type seal near the top of the injector/ cam cover. Is this part of the rocker cover gasket? Or is it simply an 'O' ring... Mine was perished and burned due to the injector leak, is it...

My local garage has diagnosed failed injector seals/leaking combustion gasses on 2 of my injectors after investigating burnt oil type smell in the cockpit. A local diesel specialist has quoted £320 + VAT minimum to remove, check, re-seat and refit injectors with new seals, but they have said the...

I'm always surprised when members go off immediately to a mechanic when the car starts smoking on idle and when accelerating - from my own experience 50% - 60% of smoking cases are actually the Pressure Control Valves rather than the Valve Stem Seals. If you have smoking problems, do this first!

The rubber seals around my door/window apertures are perished, split at the bottom and don't seem to fit too well. Ideally, they need replacing. I've contacted my local dealership and there's 3 seals which I need on each side - total bill was nearly £900 for these parts. Does anyone know of an...

Just want to double-check that when I replace the oil filter, the only rubber seal I use is the large one that goes on the screw in cap? With the filter I also got a couple of small rubber seals and I tend not to use those. Am I supposed to use them? This diagram seems to show them...
