fitted these dials and they work fine with ignition off and as soon as i turn the key they go off wired the red from the dials to grey red in black connector and black from dials to brown in connector any help appreciated

Found this on ebay, just wondering if anyone has fitted these before, if so are they decent? they seem similar to those in VWs so should work. Hopefully be getting them fitted in the new year unless anyone wants to disuade me? :P BMW E46 UK 98-05 speedo cluster plasma glow gauges clocks dials...
