Hey guys my 2008 335xi is past warranty how do I remove the speed limiter by reprogramming the ECU?

When I start my car from cold the rev limiter is all the way round to 4,500, showing 4 lines. My other 535d (2006) doesn't do this. When I use that car from cold the rev limiter starts at around 4000 and slowly goes up as the car gets warm. Is there something wrong?

I noticed my e36 2000 323i (325 engine) doesn't seem to have a rev limiter? Im able to rev it up near 7 and no sign of a limiter, what would problem be?

mine just kicked in at 5,500rpm... I'm sure that's not right, it was weird didn't feel like a rev limiter, but wouldn't rev any higher. Then next time i tried in same gear, went a little higher!! :confused

Hi all, my R-plate 318i has 7000rpm rev limit, but whenever I try to take it up to the limiter it limits at 5000. It doesnt make any noises or perform badly up to 5000 but just bounces off 5 like its hitting the redline. Any ideas peeps? Thanks. 1 of mates seems to think its the ECU ????
