key or remote

I have 2 key fobs for my E63 635d, both are capable of Comfort Access as they both have removable 2032 batteries. One key is working perfectly and operates all of the Comfort Access functions. The second key I had assumed was just a normal rechargeable fob as it had no Comfort Access...

I am thinking if buying a bmw, the only real problem is the key/remote: -Only one key, which has tape wrapped round it and remote doesn't work (previous owners dog apparently) How much to get this replaced? also the car has done 140k, is this a problem? There is a full service history...
