Can anybody shed some light on why my 2011 BMW X1 (E84) would show the distance left to next service as 8000km, and the next day it has dropped to 250km? I have not been hammering the vehicle, but driving around 100 to 120 km/h:confused

Hi, Took delivery of a new 116i a few weeks ago. Car initially indicated a service due in 2 years or 19000mls. When I turn on ignition it is now saying 600 mls for service and shows a car with yello outline round it. I am confused! Can anyone clarify the service intervals for me? Thanks

What do you guys think about it? Isn't that too much for an engine? Oil sludge wont be a problem above 100k?
