Ok, so i know it wont play an MP3 CD, will it play any format onto a copied disc, and does this matter if it is cdr or cdrw? This is on a pre 2005 changer. Or is it essentially, only able to play discs bought from a store and anything else simply wont work, regardless or disc type and file format?

i downloaded music onto a cd and put it in the bmw original cd changer, i think it does not recognise the format of the songs. what is the correct format i should save the songs as on the cd, in order for it to work, does anyone know?
