i randomely keep getting a chime going off in my car. happened last night when i pulled up,blasted about 4 times. theres no gong fitted as im aware,the panel where the gong should clip is empty,with no hole cut for it. could it be a roof sensor maybee?

Right, when I start my car there is a chiming noise from under the dash. Sometimes it does it randomly when driving along. What the hell is it for? It's doing my head in! Is it indicating a fault of some sort? Regards, Stu. :)
