My car has been keyed and booked into a bodyshop for that to fixed. should i clay bar my car before it is sent to the bodyshop or after when i get it back?
also can i polish the sprayed area afterwards or am i meant to leave the area for a while?
Thats a difficult one because you should not clay your car for a month or so following a respray but then is it worth claying it if its going to be sprayed anyway?
my cars just come out of the bodyshop and i was told i could do pretty much what i like to it with regards to polishing and waxing, i left it a week anyway then applied poorboys blackhole topped with vics concours wax and its fine! incidentley this is the second bodyshop thats told me its safe to polish/wax straight away!
Its a bar of clay(a bit like blu-tuk) and you rub it on the car with plenty of lubricant and it takes all the impurities out the paintwork leaving it feeling smooth as glass :thumbsup
