Hi. No it doesn't. It only provides a feed into the AV channel on the OBM. What I found out was that if I only provided an audio and not audio/video source into AV, that it did not skip as quickly. Also I believe the harness was faulty as after a few horus of trying to get it to work, it stopped passing through any VIDEO signal at all. I have sent the harness back and ordered a new one, hopefully it will make a difference. The auto-electrician said that BMW does a signal strength test on RADIO and AV signals, where if it is not a specific strength, it will not accept the signal and automatically try the next one.... Will see how I get on when the new one arrives..

Hi, hope you can help. I was told to contact you as an experrt on ICE. I have an 04 X5, with standard tv tuner, with a AV harness from navtv added onto it to provide av in from my freeview box. This goes into my onboard tv monitor on the av channel without issue. The problem I have is, whenever I select tv mode, then channel av, I see the picture and get the sound, but only for a few seconds, it then goes to channel 1, then channel 2 etc. And won't stay on the AV channel. No matter what I do, whenever I select a channel, it moves it from that channel without me doing anything. Very annoying. I don't know what settings to change on the tv to make it stay on av. Any ideas?

Check the 6 pin connection to the CD Changer first.

If that's OK, then check the connection to the radio module, under the small section of boot floor behind the spare wheel.

Hi, hope you might be able to advise?
I have a 330d 2002 Touring with the uprated sat nav / telephone/ in car computer head unit, which also drops down mechanically to reveal a slot for the playing of tapes (remember them??? lol). It also has the Harmon Kardon speaker upgrade, and as far as i am aware it is all fitted from factory.
When using the radio, all speakers operate, all around the car and the sound is spot on. When playing a cd from the changer in the boot however, all of the speakers on the left hand side are great, but all speakers on the drivers side seem to put out very little sound (if any) and are very crackly?? If i turn the balance just to this one side and turn the volume up LOUD, then the audio can be heard to pe playing, seemingly ok, but still very quietly with a lot of crackling.
Not sure where the problem would lie, and hope someone who knows their way around these systems can advise before i think about taking any bits apart?
    Thanks in advance.........
