hi kev, can you help me out?
i need to get the few niggles sorted out on this car and i don't trust the liverpool branch coz last time i took a car there they tried to bump me:shifty:.
i need to find the problem with this bluetooth as i disconnected the battery like you said for 15 minutes and that did'nt work.the next day the idrive screen would'nt come on but flashed about once every minute as if it was trying to power on,so i disconnected the battery again for half an hour.the bluetooth still does not work but the idrive seems fine....so far.also in the climate control menu i can't adjust the setting in the idrive menu.when i select climate for passenger or driver i can't select which way i want the air distribution to flow, and in the auto setting for the air con it won't let me select if i want the air flow soft or intensive and just jumps back to the normal settings.
if i get it booked into your branch will they be able to check all the above and give me a printout of all the associated problems as i want to know whats wrong before i start shelling out money as funds are a bit tight at the moment.
    thanks mate,sorry for giving you a headache.:banghead:hissyfit

Hi, the large grooves at rear of cam go upwards and where grooves are cam is rounded. Usually the inlet cam slips and can be upto 90degree out. If timing is out vanos will req removal and turn cam till groove upright, new bolts for vanos need to be replaced as they stretch also req new type chain tensioner from dealer only longer than old type to stop slipping. If tech gets stuck bell me on 07966 492823 kevin.
