Hi chrisl,
Yes got my problem sorted it turned out that the actuator on my turbo stuck therfore i needed a new turbo.
I was fortunate to have a warranty on my turbo so got my turbo exchanged for free.
You can see if your actutor is moving by getting someone to turn your ignition to 2 (the one before you turn the car over) and listening for a click, that will be your actuator moving,if you get no click then it could be stuck.
ps my turbo was an electric turbo it may not be the same on a vaccum operated turbo.
