OK i own a 94 325 IS manuel.. It had a non vanos motor in it. I took it out cuz it had alot of engine wear from previous owner. I recently put in a new but used great motor in it from the same yr 94. Difference is it came out of a automatic and it has Vanos. Im goin back to manuel. So i need help?? it wants to start but doesnt. So Would i need a new ECU? I do have the new ECU it came with but its from an automatic so im confused on what to do... ECU the guys at the shop cannot figure this out.. I have everything from the old engine. Harness, Cam and shaft Sensers, Knock sensers, So any suggestions anyone???

I would have a word with some of the guys that have DONE the auto to manual conversion

They are all very friendly and willing to assist

    http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/...l-swap-t13985/

I personally would put EVERYTHING old to one side and focus on using the NEW and go down that route
