    Trying to run INPA software after i install it, it pops up error:

    Registry Value failed in Subkey!
    Image.jpg

    "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servi ces\Serial"

    Maybe there are problems!

    Resolution:
    Please remember to run the OBDsetup from the hardware\obd folder in EDIABAS!

    IF you have done that, there are values missing from the reigstry, merge the following registry export, then run OBDsetup again.

    Take Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 as example:

    Go to Registry Editor Version by: "run commander"->"Regedit"!

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Serial]

    "ErrorControl"=dword:00000000

    "Group"="Extended base"

    "Start"=dword:00000002

    "Tag"=dword:00000001

    "Type"=dword:00000001

    "ForceFifoEnable"=dword:00000001

    "RxFIFO"=dword:00000008

    "PermitShare"=dword:00000000

    "LogFifo"=dword:00000000

    "TxFIFO"=dword:00000008

    Often, your register table may miss some of the values, please add the missing parts; then your INPA should be working!

    The registry self installer normally comes with the paid for inpa packages.
    No need for manual registry edits.

    Oh I know that but I bought the cable and three disc setup from bmwcables and it had the registry self install included,
    but if you just get inpa from "the net" then these things will not be apparent.
    And it wasn't just inpa,it had disv57 and progman v32 and tis,so it was worth the few euros for tis alone.
    But ive since got rid of v57 and v32 and installed disv44 which is more handy.
