As the title says, it should be here in the next couple of days.

At the weekend, I had to take the battery off for reasons I wont go into.
After putting it back on, there wasn't enough power to start the car, so I had to jump it. Its fine now.
When I plug the Peake tool in, will there be numerous fault codes stored because of the battery disconnection and jump start??

I've bought the Peake to help me diagnose a lingering fault with the car.
Will I need to clear all the stored codes with the Peake, and then take the car out to throw up the real codes, or will the battery disconnection and jump start not matter??

I'm worried that the battery disconnection will have stored numerous codes that I have to clear first before the real fault codes show!
Can someone enlighten me on my fears!!
    Thanks

Disconnecting the battery shouldn't really throw up any codes afterwards, unless you had some stored before disconnection.

Even easier than that-plug it in ignition on position 2 and press the button-codes come up on the display BMW specific too and a booklet which interprets the codes.Thats it...it's only fault is that it doesn't do the airbag codes but reads everything else

i agree it is a great piece of kit-got one myself.
works great on a 2003 e39 530d but i get a comms error when i tried to use it on a 2001 e46 318i-so not so sure it it works on 4 cylinder bmw cars but works on the 6 cylinder diesel.

can someone comment for sure if it works on a e46 4cylinder car,so i can exclude the fact it may be my car which is faulty and not the tool itself?
