    Hi Guys,
    I know there is another thread similar to this but he gave up

    My computer is windows 7 64 bit, but I've seen people using the same.
    The cable is a bmw specific one off ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-specif...#ht_598wt_1139

    INPA works perfectly, no issues with it at all, however carsoft and sss are not finding the connection.

    I've ruled out:
    - firewalls.
    - UAC.
    - corrupt installation - as both of them don't work.
    - No need to run a head emulator?

    So I'm thinking its my ip settings somewhere??

    Just wondering if someone has different settings to the following:

    1) VM Virtual Network editor settings:
    Subnet;
    Ip Address - 192.168.68.0
    Subnet mask - 255.255.255.0

    DHCP;
    Start - 192.168.68.1
    End - 192.168.68.99

    2) Progman Network Settings:
    IP Address - 192.168.68.30
    Gateway - 192.168.68.1
    Subnet mask - 255.255.255.0

    SS Overview - 192.168.68.2

    3)Port Settings:
    Com 1
    Receive/Transmit 4096/4096
    Latency Timer 1
    Min Read/Write Time out 0/0
    Miscellaneous options - Serial Enumerator is ticked, all others unticked

    Currently cloning the VM to try on a 32bit windows 7 computer

    Can anyone help?

    I think I have finally figured it out!!

    SSS came up with an error that the car battery voltage was too low. I started it up (only just started) so I did the obc test and its at 14, left it running for5 minutes and after turning it off it settled at 12.6v however it still wouldn't let me go passed the model selection.

    So I'm going to charge it up tomorrow and have another go, fingers crossed!!!!

    P.s. To double check I pinged progman from my pc, and the tool from progman and everything seemed happy.
