    Hi Folks
Newbie to the forum and need a little help.

I have had a search on the other Inpa links but can't find a definitve answer in how to fix.

I have Inpa (D-Can Usb version) installed on my laptop.
All runs fine lead works fine but the engine section in diagnostics brings up fault codes in German along with a few other sections but the bulk of it is in english??. Language from what I can see if set to english.

Got a friend to install for me as I'm not great with computers but he's away on business and not back for a few weeks so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can give someone access via teamviewer to view if need be or if someone can help with the re-install with a fully working version in english as it might be mines that on the blink.

    Cheers
    Brian.

That's just the way it is for a lot of the program.
I've checked with some of the guys that do the releases of the various versions, and that's as good as it gets.

    Hello TheEnd.
    Thanks for post.

I know of someone else who use's a serial port version and he has english in most of the most common used sections ie Engine/Gearbox/Body/Chassis.

He does have a few german bits in it but not in the most commonly used areas.
Can I update in anyway or would it need to be a re-install from someone who is using a version with the bulk of it in english?

    Cheers
    Brian

Some of the older versions were better, with more English stuff in them.
Try some of the 3.0x something version instead of 5.0x

Why not copy/paste the German messages into Google Translate? Sure it may be slow but since you are only trying to fix 1 or 2 problems then it's worth the effort.

I have seen people have issues when trying to overwrite newer scripts with older ones.

Maybe best port of call is to find a slightly older version of the software and de-install and re-install from scratch.

I'll have a hunt about and see what I can find.
Does anyone out there have a working version that is mayne older than the 5.0 one that I am running?

    Cheers
    Brian.

i have an older version that works in ADS mode most of it is english but you need a serial interface in ADS mode tho...

i am also using a newer version tho which is also the same mostly english aswell, did you select BMW group rectification programme UK from the drop down list when you were installing it?

does it say the above on the first splash screen when you fire it up?
330i sport a big chunk of berlin...

What he said, select configuration "BMW Group Rectification programs UK" and click continue (this selection makes INPA run in English which is kind of useful!)

    Hi
Yes it does say that on the top of the main screen.
It's a bit of a weird one as most is ok only engine fault codes come uo in German.
Must be a dodgy version or something I have.
My lead is usb and not serial.

    Thanks for the reply.
