Friend of mine gave me a CD of the BMW Ediabas-Inpa and a set of OBD leads, exactly as this ebay kit http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ediabas-INPA-O...-/280620734691
Got this bits in the post today along with some instructions on how to install the software. Did this on my home PC and the software seems to work as it opens to this same page here http://shop.autodiagnostika.info/ima...oads/inpa5.PNG
So great thinks me, all I then have to do I guess is get it on a laptop and plug in the OBD lead and away we go, maybe I can finally get rid of that airbag light, but here's the problem...
I'm rubbish with computers and was amazed when it seems I got it working OK on the home computer. So I did out an old laptop I've been given as one to keep in the garage with some repair CD's for other cars and stuff burnt to a CD. This old laptop is running Windows 98 and has the correct serial port for the OBD leads where as my home PC is XP.
So basically, I went to install the INPA CD and got stuck as it's not much like the instructions I have which worked for the home PC. So can anyone help with loading it onto Windows 98 ?
