    SUCCESS... I managed to clear my Airbag Light after over a month without an expensive trip to BMW. !!!

    If anyone is having issues with Windows7, I suggest running XP on VMWare, but make sure you have updated to SP3 before trying to install the VagCom Drivers in XP (otherwise you would have to uninstall the driver and re-install).

    Also, as a precaution, open up the Virtual Machine and then plug in your USB

    Is there much difference between this and the windows 7 installation procedure? Also, out of interest, what does soldering 7 and 8 actually do?

    not same procedure and 7 and 8 gives you full comunication with all the modules...
