    2. Download the software

There are many sources on the internet for INPA/EDIABAS, some seem to work, others do not - I used these specific downloads and they worked perfectly:

    Comcast
    Comcast

If for any reason the above links are missing/broken, PM me and I'll see what I can do. Thank you to whomever is hosting the above files and I hope that you do not mind me providing these links.

Guys I am having issues trying to download the INPA software as the supplied links are broken. Is there another link I can use? Also are both the old version and new version of INPA included? It seems we need to install INPA 4.4.7 then upgrade to 5.0.2. Does this sound about right?

    thanks

Trying to install the EDIABAS, page 15 of the PDF file. When I select BMW group rectification programs UK there UNLHA32 error report (on UnlhaMain : 2) ,
and the message says A LZH Archive not found. : ‘C:/DOCUMENTS.LZH’

I click “ok” and another error comes up and says “Fatal error – Error 11006: Application-defined or object-defined error Errorcode: 8029. This installation process will be canceled!”

If I click the option “! No configuration !” , theres only two options I can tick…

    EDIABAS 6.4.3
    INPA 4.4.7

I tick complete, and on the next page click OBD, when I go to start the installation the same error comes up. Ive been trying to google this for some time now and haven’t been able to find a solution. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello, i followed the install instructions to a t and was successful in getting inpa and edibias to install correctly and working. However i cannot start ncsexpert. I keep getting an error stating this software is not compatible with operating system. This is of course after i already ran compatability troubleshooter and set it to run in xp sp3 as well as run as administrator. Any ideas?

Nevermind, i found my answer. ncsexpert will apparently only work in windows 32bit operating systems. If anyone knows how i can accomplish this with windows 7 please advise.

Ive managed to completely install both ediabas and INPA without a problem, the k+can OBD ive got didnt come with install discs, so I may purchased the one you reccomended although im currently downloading some k+can drivers so fingers crossed.

Firstly, i'd like to point out that im using 64 bit windows 7, And upon opening device management, on the Universal serial bus controllers tab, I get 6 'usb root hub', 4 'standard open HCD USB host controller', 2 'Standard enhanced pci to usb host controller', and one 'usb composite device'. I cant seem to find a COM port to assign as 1 and set the delay.

I proceeded with the install, mainly just to see if it would work and it seems to have done, I just need to wait for the drivers to download, and hope my laptop recognises the k+can OBD that I have.

    So now onto my questions,

    1. if my laptop (after installing the aforementioned drivers) still will not recognise my OBD, is my onlly option to purchase another one (such as the one recommended) and install any software/drivers that came with it?

and 2. Although im grateful for the tutorial.... if NCS expert only works with 32 bit windows, then why is it in a tutorial for x64 windows? Am I missing something?

Anyway, thanks for any help in advance.

    Stu
