Well I've now managed to repair the airbag light having used INPA for diagnostics and TIS for recommended method on working safely with airbags. My driver air bag connector was very loose and just came away easily, on inspecting the pins and socket I found them to be in excellent condition so I pinched the pins in slightly so as to have a tighter fit in the socket and that was all that was needed and after reseting the airbag in INPA it hasn't come back on again; I'm very pleased with my eBay purchase.

    Regards

    Hi

Did you buy from the same seller though?

I've installed on a Win 7 Pro 32 bit, but since her indoors went out to buy tights and came back with a new Win 7 64 bit laptop I'm going to try and install it later; I'll up date this post as soon as I can.

    Regards

Good news I've installed INPA on our new 64-bit Laptop.

    Spec,
    Win 7 Home Prem
    Service Pack 1

    Manu, Samsung
Processor AMD A6-3410MX APU Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 1.60GHz
Ram 6 GB, 5.8 GB usable
System type 64 bit operating system

I hooked up the Bimmer a May 2000 328Ci coupe and I'm able to access all diagnostic areas, the install was just as straight forward as the 32-bit install. I just followed the PDF instructions that came on the install disk. I've provided a link to the ebay seller where I bought my kit so I can't really comment on any other install.

    Regards

What's required in step 4, what file is it talking about? what does it say to do in the privious step? have you been asked to install a file called Demon Tools lite? I think the Demon Tool is requred to read the file you are suck on?

Okay so i have followed this guide twice now to the letter and I am getting frustrated. I must be missing something.

I can get everything installed and I load INPA and i can look at things like my aircon and my sterring wheel, and when i press its buttons it registers on the laptop. But for love nor money i cannot get it to look at my ECU and its error codes.

I have a 2001 136BHP is this the M47 old that i should be choosing? In fairness i have tried all of them and it say that it is not my command module and kicks me back after lots of failed scripts and crashes.

I just want to read my codes :(

The only part of the install i didnt understand fully is this part:

    1. Go into Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings.
    2. Select 'Environment Variables' and then verify that the System Variables 'TMP' and 'TEMP' both contain the path 'C:\EDIABAS\Bin' within the 'Value' string - for instance "C:\Windows\Temp;C:\EDIABAS\Bin".
What exactly does this want me to do here|? I just copy and pasted your address after for instance as i have no idea what i was meant to do. would this make any difference to my problem??

    Thanks

    Anthony
