I hooked up the Bimmer a May 2000 328Ci coupe and I'm able to access all diagnostic areas, the install was just as straight forward as the 32-bit install. I just followed the PDF instructions that came on the install disk. I've provided a link to the ebay seller where I bought my kit so I can't really comment on any other install.

    Njoro,

I don't suppose you'd be willing to share the software you used would ya? I've tried two setups now and can't get anything to work. It keeps telling me that I don't have the right version of Windows to run the INPA. And since you're running a Samsung 64 bit like me, maybe you can help. Can anybody help!?

    Hello,

thanks for your excellent guide for installing inpa ediabas on my Win7 64bit system. Installing ist completed now and prog works. but if I start Inpa and navigate to "Info" (F1) the Number behind Version says 5.00, is this a failure in installation or is it normal that the the versions number is wrong, I thought i downloadet 6.4.3?

Futhermore, I have some problems with the Airbag in my car, I tryed to read the failures in my ecu, but following messege is showed: 'IFH 0009 NO RESPONSE FROM CONTROL UNIT'. Where are the failures for airbag stored, is E46-->Body-->Airbag right?

    Thanks to all.

Hi, Looking at the above, if I purchase the BMW cable and am successful in the installation, is it possible to print the read outs from the computer ?

Thanks for the write up buddy.

Had to do a couple of things differently in order to get it working...

    1. Step_2_INPA didn't seem to do much and no shortcut appeared on the desktop and I couldn't find the files mentioned in Step10. I went in to the BMW Tools folder --> Programminstallation --> then ran 'setup' in XP compatibility mode and admin rights. This installed ok and put the shortcut on the desktop.
    2. When running INPA the screen was empty with only 'F1 information' and 'f10 end' showing. To fix this I ran Step_2_INPA again and it installed properly.

There must have been a problem with the 'step_1_BMW_Tools' installation. Maybe I got something wrong, but I did follow the guide word for word.

Anyway, maybe the above will help someone.

The above was done on a MacBook Pro running Windows 7 via parallels. Haven't bought the cable yet so that's the next challenge.

    Hi everyone.
I am new to the forum. I have been facing some probs with my airbag light. It stays on. I have purchased ELM327 v1.5 bluetooth adapter from ebay and also purchased and downloade Torque software on my android phone. It doesnt show the airbag or my parking sensor fault when i run the scan and therefore when i clear the codes it doesnt go away.
Can anyone please help me how to get the airbag light removed using the bluetooth adapter?
    Thanks

I don't think that's possible - the software you have downloaded and the lead you have bought wont communicate with the airbag module in your car.

If you have the 16-pin OBD II port under your dash near the pedals then this should work :

And using this thread to install the software :
