I have the following code in INPA. I can't get DIS to work unfortunately.
Does anyone know what the code indicates? It won't clear.

    0x93B3 ZK11 / Airbag Passenger 2.Stage
Signal or value below threshold Test conditions fulfilled Error present now and already stored Error would cause a warning lamp to light up No matchin error symptom

Finally got DIS to work, and turns out it's a short to earth on stage 2. Disconnected the 2 plugs from the passenger airbag and now I get high resistance on stage 1 and still the short to earth on stage 2. Bit confused with that, now I have to take out the middle console and measure resistance from the airbag control unit to the airbag. Job for the weekend, will post back any news, might help someone one day.

Tested all the wiring and all is OK. Stage 2 short to earth still present with airbag disconnected or with resistors in place.
Must be a faulty control module, so would appreciate help from anyone who knows how to reflash the module with any new firmware to see if it clears, or code a second hand module to the car.
I have DIS INPA and NCS-Expert and possibly winKFP but I've never tried it.

There are guides for updating modules with winkfp, you'll need to download an SP-daten folder of the files though, usually under the name of e89 (covers all the e90's)
Once you talk to it with the inpa lead, you'd just pick update zusb and it will sort out the update, but I don't think that will fix it, it does sound like a hardware problem.

Thanks for that, I did download some SP-Daten folders and used Total Commander to update NCS Expert but not winkfp. In the E89 SP daten folder I downloaded it was just
    daten
    ecu
    sgdat

Think it needs a data folder for winkfp, I'll have a search, thanks.

    Yep, it will do.
Quite a few of the newer packages have been missing the data folder, but if you track down an earlier sp-daten set, you should find it.

Sorry I haven't changed it yet, but I'm sure it is.

I finally got round to buying a second hand module. Would appreciate if you could let me know the steps required to code it to match the car?
I have winkfp and it is reasonably up to date.
