FYI - basic OBD II querying works perfectly (incl. DTC checking and resetting) with my Ross-Tech lead and software (v. 10.6)

Interesting thanks for that. What software are you using, Inpa?

I don't really know that much about diagnosing later BMW's. I'd have thought you'd need a DCAN interface?

Ok, you're using the software that came with it to read OBD2 codes

Seeing you already have the interface might be worth having a go with Inpa using the vagcom lead.

I'll see if I can dig any more info out for you.

Looks like Dcan is needed for 2007+ cars and seeing you can diag yours using OBD2 there's a good chance it will work.

It was a tool designed for BMW for internal / R&D use. There are various versions floating around for download.

It's quite common using the vagcom 409.1 cable. I suggested trying as you already had the cable.

Did you modify the OBD.ini? I can dig out some install instructions if that will help?
