    Hi,
I'm having slow progress trying to get INPA working on my E60 530D. Man objective is to reset service indicators but no luck so far.
During my random clicking about I see SELECTIVE MENGENKORREKTUR whic through Google means Volume Correction.

I have no idea what it means but I have wildly different readings on my cylinders. Any ideas why they are different or if it is something to be concerned about?

I have not had the car long and I am paranoid about Swirl flaps, which are my focus for my next job on the car.

The volume correction afaik is for the stereo getting louder when you increase speed to drown out road noise then getting quieter when you slow down to keep the volume at a constant level

Nah, not that kind of volume, if you can see the picture it is a seperate value for each cylinder.

I think I am google translating a Polish forum post talking about Injector Angles or something but I can't quite fathom out what they are talking about.

It means cylinder one or two has duff injector and one is compensating the other but without a leak off test you don't know which.

Oh and get rid of the swirl flaps ASAP

its how much fuel each injectors is throwing in (correction metering) to keep it even and smooth running on all cylinders...

long as its in the green the correction is acceptable and within the ECU's powers to correct the inbalances so to speak if it gets any worse or in the red zones ide get em refurbed...

its also called selective mass adjustment...

service reset is in the body/instrument cluster pages
330i sport a big chunk of berlin...

    Ahh, great stuff thanks.
I'll save that pic and monitor it over time.

I know where to look for Service Reset but when I choose Instrument cluster I get an error (some kind of mismatch) but then another screen opens where I can select a few options.
The button I need is CODING but it is not there to select.

I've gone through every option dozens of times.

I can find some kind of reset which looks likely but it resets the odometer displays and sends iDrive date awry but does nothing for the service indicators. I can also send the dash needles into a sweeping test mode.

Still playing with INPA, I'm sure I have just got the get the right files into the right locations.

All of them, trust me, all of them. I have Russian, Polish, German and partial English versions.

    4.4.?? , 5.01, 5.02 I've tried them all.

I'm just getting to grips with it (albeit slowly).

The 4.4.?? version errors at selecting Instument Panel (this is the mostly English version).
I thought it was a version issue but now I am sure I am just missing a file or two (the modules to access the instrument panel)

the other versions (foreign) go further, but I can't get to the CODING tool to reset the service lights.
