Automatic locking might need the car to be driven, rather than just started.
Not sure about the "lock after unlock without opening doors" as I've only ever switched that on once, and it was part of a freebie after doing some tuning.
That means even if it didn't work, I would be unlikely to have the guy ring me up and say it isn't happening.
I'll be coding the "lock after unlock without opening doors" option to my car after the weekend just to see if it actually does work,
I already have the "selective unlock" and "auto locking" activated and fully working so will be curious to see if by adding this option
whether all 3 of these options can be activated together without issue?
There is no technical reason why the RAD would need to be present to store these features. They are saved in the ZKE and the RAD is not a part of that.
That's not to deny the issues you are having.
The only thing I can think of is (a) country coding prevents you from using these features (b) a bug in the ZKE code requires RAD to be online to save CKM features because the RAD presets and last volume are part of the CKM suite.
I successfully coded 'lock after unlock without opening doors' option to my car the other day, tbh its not that useful a function but
nevertheless works 100% which just adds to the confusion as to why it wouldn't code correctly on Gav78's coupe
Sorry to dig up an old thread but I'm looking to code some options into my CKM and I was wondering if it is necessary to have the car connected to a battery charger?
I will be using SSS to activate passenger mirror tilt and one touch window opening.
Running the diagnostic software does use more power than you might think, you can flatten the battery in about 45 minutes. It is important to have a well charged battery especially when coding and not to prolong your session if the engine is off. However it is not necessary to plug in a charger if you can meet these conditions.
Thanks, I will give it a go then. I just heard that bmw use one to stop the voltage going too low.
