I have recoded the keycode options on several vehicles now and have come to the conclusion that if there is an aftermarket stereo fitted
connection always fails and coding cannot continue.
I am assuming that the stock stereo allows the SSS software to communicate, is that correct or can it be 'got around' ?

I recoded a coupe last night and selected :-automatic locking after start
relock 2 minutes after unlocking without door opening
    selective central locking

Only the selective central locking appeared to work, do any of these options conflict with each other or is there another reason why the other 2 options didn't activate?

    as usual TIA chaps

You can activate all those options at the same time like the dealers do Simon. Can you communicate using DIS?

Thanks Neal, yes DIS can communicate can you point me in the right direction as where to look?

I'm just perplexed as to why only one of the three options selected and coded with SSS actually worked?

Have a look to see if you can communicate with the ZKE through DIS.

    Will do Neal cheers,

have you any idea as to why it would only code 1 of the 3 selected using SSS

Just wondering if it's not communicating with the ZKE properly.

Fair point Neal, not my car so didn't check ZKE using DIS, if he wants me to have another bash at coding the 2 non working options it I'll bear this in mind

Its strange cos if there was a ZKE/connection issue you'd have thought none of the options selected would have coded?

Did it say they were changed when it finished the coding?
It should make the changes, then read back what it programmed.

Hi guys, it was my car Simon was kindly working on. It did say that it had changed all three but as mentioned only one actually worked.

Next time you are down there Simon I'll pop down again if its ok and see if we can get to the bottom of it.
