    Hi all i was chatty to a mate (Also bmw owner) and he was saying he has been having intermittent problems well the question is has any one ever purchased one of these diagnostic machines on ebay they range in price from 30-60 pound and if so was it any good? Any advice is greatly received.

    For that price I would say they would be fairly useless but if you post links to the ones you talking about we could let you know for sure

    I would be suspect of this..It will probably give some error codes but I would be more inclined to go for a BMW specific scanner.That way it would read all the fault codes correctly-Maybe someone here has tried that scanner and can give you better feedback,Personally I would go for a trusted scanner.

    I use carsoft brilliant but very expensive.....and we can't talk about illegal versions on this site

    there are others though
